Friday, 23 May, BUDVA (Montenegro): After a podium finish on their first race together in Qatar - Abdullah Al Mehairbi’s Class 1 debut - defending World and European Champion Jean-Marc Sanchez and his new charge again impressed, opening their account for this weekend’s Hypo Group Montenegrin Grand Prix with the fourth fastest time of the afternoon in today’s first official practice session. "I like the race course – it’s very technical, you have a bit of everything, some flat conditions, some big swells and the outside leg is quite tricky.

"But today was not about trying for a quick lap time. It was about getting a feel for the course, how to approach the corners, to try different things and learn what we need to do in the next practice session. And most importantly today was another opportunity for Abdullah to gain more experience."
