SELMER CONFIDENT OF STRONG SHOWING IN MONTENEGRO

Friday, 9 May: Foresti & Suardi duo, Giampaolo Montavoci and Kolbjorn Selmer were back out on the waters of Italy’s Lake Iseo this week for their second test in ten days as they prepare for this month’s Hypo Group Montenegrin Grand Prix. “It is important that we get as many test miles in as possible to be ready for the next race,” said Norwegian driver, Kolbjorn Selmer. “The test went well – we were out on the water for over four hours trying out a new steering system and a combination of different propeller and ratio settings. And although the conditions in Montenegro are likely to be rough – which will suit us – this has been a valuable exercise for us.”

The Italian-Norwegian partnership first teamed up in last year’s Egyptian and Qatari Grands Prix, with Selmer taking the driver’s seat full-time this season, and grabbing a well-earned fifth place in the season open in Doha in March. “We have made a solid start but now we are back in the number one boat we are aiming for an even stronger showing in Budva.” he said.
